Nana and Papa!

My Mom and Dad were here visiting a few weeks ago. We had a great time with them. They only worked a little (they helped make a cornice board for the window in our bedroom).

This is a picture from the Haunted Hayride.

We went to Anderson's to pick some apples and pumpkins. Then of coarse had apple pie, apple sauce, and apple crisp all during the time they were with us!

Having my Mom, the professional pumpkin painter, with us we decided to paint our pumpkins instead of carve them. We even made a pumpkin pole....which goes back to my days being raised on a pumpkin farm.

Emma's Leaf Project

Every 4th grader has to do a leaf project. This is Emma's year. We went to Crown Hill Cemetary, where many of the trees are labeled which makes the project a whole lot easier. We had a lovely afternoon and decided to take some Mother Daughter pictures....

I made her smile for this one!

Here is one of the pictures Emma took... Isn't she lovely!

Emma's Clay Creations

Emma has been hard at work creating a farm out of clay. I think she has done a very detailed and creative job! You will notice there is a baby Jesus in the manger and a shepherd in the field. Oh and a hippo out to the right, I'm not really sure how he fits it to the scene!

The cows are my favorite. Notice the hay in the little cow's mouth.

The mama pig with her piglets is pretty cute too.
