Glove Garden

This past spring we started a glove garden at the children's museum. We weren't completely sure what we had planted in each finger of the glove. After the seeds began to sprout we took them and planted them in a pot in front of our house. Turns out we grew a little garden of pinto beans and a sunflower. We only had about 20 little pinto beans, but Lauren is convinced that they will make a delicious dinner!

First Day of School

Josiah's First Day of Kindergarten. He seemed a little aprehensive as he stood in line for the bus. I asked him if he was scared he just nodded his head. I tried to give him a kiss but he looked around at the other boys in the line and pulled away. He was playing the tough guy.

All the kids in their new school clothes. Notice the cool converse high tops.

Table Rock Lake - Branson

We spent the day boating on Table Rock Lake. It was a ton of fun! Josiah being his brave little self, didn't want to tube, so we promised him a new pez dispenser and he got on. Only he cried the entire time...surprise surprise.

Lauren, Abbey and Emma took turns on the tube all day and then decided to try it together. They went around the lake like this for 45 minutes straight without any breaks!

During our time on the lake we told the kids that it was a man made lake. Josiah said, "Wow I bet it took at least eleven hoses to fill it!"

Josiah tried a little fishing. SUCCESS! Yes if you look very very closely there is a fish there.

Even Jim and I got on the tube. Need proof? Look below.

It was a beautiful day!

Silver Dollar City - Branson

After the early service at First Baptist Branson, Silver Dollar City was our destination today. Josiah got the prize for quote of the day. He has had a problem with pinching his sisters and picking on them. (Of course they do their share of picking too.) While we were walking to one of the rides, we heard a little girl crying very loudly, Josiah said, "Someone must have given her a wet willy Mom...but it wasn't me I promise!!" Spoken from experience I'm sure.

Josiah and Lauren modeling some very distinquished hats.

Abbey and Lauren wrining their socks out after the log ride.

Emma posing with a great rhythm band...she is begging for those drum lessons, I think I am going to have to give in!

The boys....right where they belong!

Night Out in Brownsburg

Tonight we went to the Night Out Against Crime all of the kids (except Josiah) climbed the rock wall. Lauren made it all the way to the top, she was so proud!

Abbey and Emma made it to the top too...

Check out Emma's new hair!
