Saturday the kids from Hope went to Awana game day. It was a chance for our kids to compete against several other churches in Awana Games. It is a very serious venture for many of these kids. There are real refs and sadly real rules. Our kids kept getting disqualified because they hadn't had as many practices as many of the teams. Some of these churches had been in serious training for "the games". We, on the other hand, had one.... On the way home our kids agreed that if there were no rules they probably would have won! Next year we already have a plan. Not only will we begin our training much earlier, we will also put our kids on a serious daily regimin of protein shakes! Some of those kids were giant!

Cute! We had AWANA games at Central, but we always decided not to go to those because we didn't have "exact" measurements on our floor so we knew we'd get killed. I also remember Mitchell playing a football team from another county when he was in fifth grade where we just knew those kids were taking something. :)
